"The Christmas Easter Phenomenon"

Here is the poem I shared during our Fridays with MPK on December 4, 2020. “The Christmas Easter Phenomenon” is a little gem I wrote on the way to a basement gig in a little restaurant in Bancroft, WI before we became MPK Christian Celtic Band in 2006, but were only known as Mama and the Preacher’s Kids. Noah was like 8 or 9! We would play jazzy covers and a few originals! Those were the days! Here is a little nugget from our first Christmas cd released in 2006, written by my mama called “Christmas Baby.” We would perform Amy Grant’s song “Fat Baby,” “Skeptic’s Song” by Daniel Amos, and so many fun ditties!!! I LOVED singing jazzy numbers with my mommy’s melty alto! I miss her so much!

I was highly influenced by the work of Jim Davis as a child. Can you tell? This is Garfield’s rabbit cousin.
